Room at the Table – Neighbors Feeding Neighbors, Festive Farm To Table Event

On Tap For Friday, July 19

Proceeds to launch fundraising effort for Authentically Alamance Farmers Market Network

BURLINGTON, North Carolina — Mark your calendar now for Room at the Table – Neighbors Feeding Neighbors, on Friday, July 19, 2019, 6:00-9:30 pm, in downtown Burlington on Davis Street. Featuring food from local farms prepared by local chefs, this Authentically Alamance festival will promote purchasing local as an economic driver, connect you with local farmers, and form the foundation for a network farmers’ markets.

Room at the Table is a celebration of all things Alamance County, where you can enjoy an open-air, casual fine dining experience featuring foods grown and produced solely in Alamance County, and meet the farmers and producers who made it all possible. “This event will be an opportunity to experience Alamance County’s food system at its very best” said Ann Meletzke, Healthy Alamance Executive Director. “Healthy Alamance is grateful for the work and contributions of our partners, the City of Burlington, Alamance Food Collaborative, and Impact Alamance, in the planning and implementation of this kick-off event.”

Fundraising from the Room at the Table event will support the growth and development of a new network of farmers’ markets in Alamance County, creating a collaborative community of small agri-businesses and food producers, as well as a pool of shareable resources. The network currently consists of the North Park and Elon Community Church markets.
